Important: Affiliate clubs must submit a copy of current Bylaws and Membership list when submitting a specialty application.
Affiliate Club Instruction Sheet
PCA approval is required for all Affiliate Club Specialty Shows. PCA’s approval is NOT automatic. Application for your show must be filed with PCA 18 weeks prior to the closing date. This is the same time frame that you must have your application to AKC. AKC will withhold approval until they receive approval from PCA.

The PCA rules implemented by the Board for a non-approved judge (these are not AKC rules):
- A non-approved judge is NOT eligible to judge the National Show.
- A non-approved judge may only judge an Affiliate Club Specialty Show once every four years.
- An Affiliate Club may only apply and use a non-approved judge for 1 specialty show once every two years.
Specialty Club Request for Non-Approved Individual to Judge their Specialty
This form is to be filled out and mailed to the Corresponding Secretary of Poodle Club of America, after which, will be reviewed by the Board of the PCA. If approved by the Board, it will then be sent to the AKC.
PCA Medallions
PCA offers a Silver Plated medallion for Best of Breed at one specialty show each year to all Affiliated Clubs of the PCA.
